On Saturday, Caroline and Chris were married at Ritchie Lake in Bealeton, VA. I have fallen in love with this venue! It was such a beautiful ceremony, and I loved spending the afternoon with Chris and Caroline. They are incredibly laid back, and were so happy to celebrate their wedding with friends and family. Here are just a handful of images from their day.

As I took this photo, the sky opened up and a monsoon descended upon the wedding! Well, not really, but there was definitely a lot of rain... so much so that the power went out!

Luckily, this did not dampen the mood of the bride and groom...
Caroline and Chris brought in some music and continued to celebrate! It was one of the most fun receptions I've ever attended.

Wow! I regret not having had a chance to meet you at the wedding, Kristen. (You were kind of busy, I know.) You have truly captured the essence of my niece and her sweet husband. They are beautiful, creative, generous, fun and in love -- and all that shows through. Undoubtedly YOUR creativity shines also in these photos. The shot of the guitars with the lake behind is really cool. The best part is you tell the story of the essence of their wedding in these photos. I can't wait to see the rest!
