leah + evan | warrenton engagement

Over the weekend, I met Leah and Evan for a fun engagement session around Old Town Warrenton. After two unseasonably gorgeous days, Saturday was incredibly windy and we almost postponed the shoot. But we decided to go for it, and I'm so glad that we did! The light was just lovely, and I had so much fun wandering around town with these two. (And if nothing else, the wind made us laugh a lot!) Leah and Evan are a lot of fun, and I can't wait for their wedding next Fall. They are both incredibly genuine and so easy to photograph. I know their wedding is going to be a blast!

the best of 2010 | engagements

I love the part of the new year that is about reflecting and being thankful for the year that has passed. For KGP, things have been wonderful, surprising, overwhelming, and amazing all at once! And I don't want to miss this opportunity to highlight some of my favorite images from 2010. So, over the next few days, I'm going to post a handful of my faves. And today, I'm starting with "engagements"... Enjoy!

katie + aaron | meadowlark botanical gardens engagement

Last week, I met Katie and Aaron for a rainy day engagement session at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. It had been such a beautiful week, but the sky decided to open up during our session! Even so, we decided to go for it, and I love how the colors seemed so bright under the gray sky.

Katie and Aaron are getting married in April, and after spending the afternoon running around in the rain with them, I know that their wedding is going to be a lot of fun!

jon + kathleen | blandy farm engagement

Last week, I met Jon and Kathleen for a sweet engagement session at the Virginia Arboretum. Our shoot made me fall in love with this season all over again! The colors were so beautiful, and the lighting was just perfect. Also, Jon and Kathleen brought along their adorable dog, Gus! I couldn't have envisioned a better a session. :)

Jon and Kathleen are really fun to be around and so easy to photograph! (It was honestly impossible for me to choose a favorite photo from our shoot.) They're both incredibly welcoming and easy to talk to... I had a great time walking around the farm and hearing about their wedding plans. They're getting married next year in Charlottesville, and I know it's going to be such a blast! I can't wait to capture the celebration...

I love these signs. Kathleen made them especially for our shoot, and they were such a fun addition.
