I was so excited to finally meet baby Olive last week. Katie and Tommy are two of my dearest friends, and it's so neat to see them transition into parenthood. And Olive is so so sweet... It's hard to believe it when you look at her, but she was actually born without one of the arteries that carries blood to her heart. She has already undergone one successful surgery and has more planned that correspond with her growing body. She has such a strong spirit. (It helps to have such incredible parents!) It's amazing to look at her sweet face because she really feels like a miracle to me. I loved watching her make so many cute expressions! Check out some of my favorites...
She already has an incredible sense of fashion.
Katie suggested that Olive use this photo if she ever decides to run for office... she already has a great deal of national pride. :)
One of the things that I love most about Katie is her amazing family. After photographing Olive, the whole family got together for a few quick shots...
Could this work as a Ralph Lauren ad? That's what we were going for. :)

I don't even know what to say - your pictures are so beautiful Kris - Olive IS a miracle to me as well! Such a little beauty.
And the last two pictures are why I love the Carson family so much :). You should submit those photos to Ralph Lauren or J. Crew, they totally would make the catalog :) :).
