My oldest friend lived right across the street from me when I was a kid. Her name was Lauren, and one of our favorite activities was to switch outfits so that our parents couldn't tell us apart... sometimes they played along.
I've loved sharing milestones in my life with Lauren. She was there on my wedding day and visited me when Maggie was born... She is such a true and genuine friend. Needless to say, I was thrilled when her mom, Brenda, contacted me about photographing the four generations of women in their family. We met last week at Brenda's beautiful home in Amissville, and I had such a great time! Here are just a handful of my favorites...
Lauren's beautiful daughter, Sophia. She definitely stole the show!
love this.
the girls.
Sophia is playing "Don't Break the Ice". I didn't know that game was still around!
Sophia is showing her Granny how to use an iPhone.
I caught this picture right at the end of our session. Sophia was so tired that she actually asked if she could take a nap. I don't think I've ever heard a child request a nap before! It was really sweet.
Brenda and Lauren: It was so fun to see you again! I had such a wonderful time capturing your family, and I hope to see you again soon!

Sophia is stunning! These are all frame-ers!!!!
I love the four generations - this touches near and dear to my own heart. And Sophia is incredibly adorable! Beautiful!
It was nice to see everyone in these pics. Lauren make sure you tell your Gmom she looks great. Of course you and Brenda do also, but Sophia was the hit..so adorable and grown up already.
I love how you captured the carefree-ness of Sophia when she's barefoot on the porch!
And seeing the iphone explanation is too cute :)
