beth + kevin | washington, d.c. portrait photographer

Untitled-1
I've come to really love engagement sessions. They're such a fun way for me to get to know a couple before their wedding day. And, needless to say, I had such a great time with Beth and Kevin when I met them at Theodore Roosevelt Island last Wednesday! The island was a part of D.C. that I'd never explored before, and it was just perfect for our session. The sun was setting, the light was gorgeous, and Beth and Kevin were really fun to shoot. They're so easy to hang out with, and I'm really looking forward to their wedding at Raspberry Plain this September!

In order to explore the island, you need to walk over a foot bridge, which then leads to several different paths and hiking trails. I'd definitely love to go back one day for a picnic! Here are just a handful from our session... (And, that first image is definitely my favorite. If I wasn't pregnant, I probably would have jumped up and down after I captured it!)

On the walk back to the parking lot, there's such a great view of the Rosslyn skyline. Beth and Kevin both work right in Rosslyn, so this was the perfect way to end our shoot.

Thanks guys! I can't wait to see you again in a couple of months!
