little miracles.

Today was pretty gloomy. And I've realized that the weather has a pretty strong affect on my mood. Especially when it prevents me from taking my two-year-old outside.

So, I decided to take Maggie and Caleb over to my parents' house so that Maggie could play with my nephew Brandon. They played all morning without any injuries or tears. This was the first miracle of the day. After that, Maggie took a two-hour nap... something she's only occasionally done since she moved into her "big girl bed". Miracle two. And when she woke up, she was so pleasant and content. I sat, with Caleb in my lap, listening to my own music (instead of baby tunes), and Maggie made me "coffee" in her toy kitchen. (But not too much. She cut me off after one cup.) That was miracle three.

But, perhaps, the greatest miracle was that I had my camera ready for a perfect moment with Caleb. The cloudy day light looked so inviting in my parents' foyer, so I put him right down on the floor. Miracle four.
