If you live in Virginia, you know that it rained last Saturday. Actually, it poured! So it was pretty obvious that my session with Sara and Bill could not take place outside in Old Town Alexandria. Unfortunately, Sara and Bill also live in Massachusetts and were only in town for the weekend. So, while we couldn't be outside for our session, we still had to schedule our session somewhere!
So... Sara suggested Union Station. Many, many months ago, she and Bill met there. On that day, she was picking him up for a mutual friend, and they were on their way to a baseball game. (Doesn't that seem like a perfectly romantic meeting?!) They both laughed when I asked them about it because, at the time, they were in a rush to head to the game. But that's the funny thing about chemistry... you can't ignore it for too long! And this meeting place ended up being the perfect spot for their engagement session. The beautiful architecture and diffused rainy-day light were just amazing. Also, Sara and Bill are incredibly adorable and just fun to be around. I can't wait for their wedding this October! Here are just a quick handful from our session last weekend...

Kristen, these turned out perfect! What a great idea! I love them!
kristen! what a gorgeous shoot- the lighting is just perfect! I think my fave is the fourth picture down- the colors and the lighting are just beautiful! Can't wait to see their pics in October! :)
Hi Kristen! Awesome as always. Can I ask what lens you used to get the shot of them inside kissing with all that ceiling?! It's beautiful - as always :)!
Thanks so much, ladies! Jenny, for that inside shot I used my 24-70 2.8L lens. Hope that's helpful! :)
These are great! I love the pics right before and after the word "cute". Very Sara and Bill.
Love these! Great pictures, Kristen. Looking forward to having you with us on Sara & Bill's wedding day.
