griffin + porter | warrenton portrait photographer

Untitled-20
For a while after college, I really wanted to move away from Warrenton. It's the town where I grew up, and I imagined that their was more fun to be had elsewhere. Lucky for me, Tim and I have grown to really appreciate living here. It has been wonderful to run into old friends at the grocery store and to raise our children near all four of their grandparents. And as a photographer, I've loved living in a place where our old friends are always visiting!

I've known Somer and John since high school, and I was so happy for them when I found out that they were expecting twin boys! Last week, their sweet family was visiting from Blacksburg, and I had the opportunity to photograph their adorable babies, Griffin and Porter. I had such a blast! Twins are a special kind of wonderful. I'm sure that John and Somer feel exhausted quite a bit, but man those boys are cute! Here are a few that caught my eye from our afternoon together...

I'll end with my favorite photo from our session. I love how everyone is trying to get Griffin's attention... even Porter. :)

Somer and John: Thanks so much! It was so fun to meet your boys and I look forward to seeing you again this summer!
